Westerville Central Science Teacher Erik Ekis and 17 key club students, along with National Honor Society members, spent an hour and a half helping to clean four areas surrounding the school recently – the baseball fence line, the restoration area (woods area, grassland recovery, split rail fence line), the north facing parking lot ditches, and the front side of the building (green space).  They did this in an effort to not only beautify Central, but to make sure that the wildlife in the area was not impacted by glass, plastic or other debris that might be on the grounds.  The group filled four large 55-gallon trash bags.
