In an effort to help connect students globally and locally, Film and Literature pupils at Westerville Central High School have participated in an International Education and Resource Network (lEarn) project entitled Folk Tales/Storytelling:  Past and Present.  lEarn is the largest non-profit global network with more than 40,000 teachers and two million students involved in various projects.

The students have interviewed 32 individuals at the Westerville Senior Center and the Parkside Village Senior Living Community, and created digital stories about their lives.   On Wednesday, May 15, from 1:30 -3:30 p.m., these films will be shown at Central for the seniors, their families, Westerville Education Challenge representatives, and other dignitaries.  The high schoolers are planning a red-carpet affair, dubbed Through the Looking Glass: Reflections through the Years

This project was made possible by a generous Westerville Education Challenge grant obtained by Central educator Susannah Lee and numerous donations from Westerville businesses and families.
