Taylor Dickens, a junior at Westerville Central High School, achieved top honors on the American Legion of Ohio’s 12th District (Franklin County) Americanism and Government Test, given in early November by Post 171 in conjunction with the three Westerville high schools.  Each Legion district honors one boy and girl in grades 10-12 who have the highest scores for a total of six top students.

Spencer Ayres, a junior also from Westerville Central, had the highest overall score from Westerville Post 171 and received $50.

Four other students achieved highest scores at their respective grade levels:  Seniors Michael Watson and Ruth Payne, and Sophomores Jordan Norris-Hawthorn and Alina Tomei-Thompson, all from Westerville North High School

All six students were honored at American Legion Post 171 of Westerville at a special recognition ceremony on February 6.
