A number of representatives from the Westerville High School Class of 1942, along with friends and family members, gathered at the MCL Cafeteria on Thursday afternoon, October 11, to reminisce at their 70th high school reunion. The group enjoyed a bus tour through Westerville, followed by a banquet. The next day they met for brunch at Genoa Grove Community Center. The Class of 1942 graduated from the building at 56 S. State St. that now serves as Hanby Elementary. They were welcomed by Dr. Dan Good, Superintendent of Westerville City Schools, who said, “May we all live to celebrate our common experiences – ones that undoubtedly, make us rich in the only ways that really matter.” The invitation to their gathering stated, accurately, “We are unique and special!”
