In observation of School Board Recognition Month, Westerville Mayor Kathy Cocuzzi attended the Regular Session of the Westerville City Schools Board of Education meeting on Monday evening, January 23, to present a proclamation from the City thanking board members for their service and dedication.  Dr. John Kellogg, Superintendent of Schools, read a resolution from Westerville City Schools expressing deepest gratitude to Board of Education members Richard Bird, Gerrie Cotter, Tracy Davidson, Dr. Nancy Nestor-Baker, and Rick Vilardo for “paving the road to a bright future for students in our school district.”

Each Board member received personalized, laser-engraved glasses made by 7th grade Engineering and Design students in William Wetta’s class at Walnut Springs Middle School.  In addition, the pupils used the Mobile FabLab’s 3D printer to make coasters for the Board in the shape of the Westerville City Schools logo.  The gifts were presented in monogramed chipboard boxes.
