An end-of-the-year celebration for student writing coaches at Walnut Springs Middle School was held on Thursday, April 28. The Writing Center at Walnut Springs was a pilot this year funded by the Westerville Education Foundation, with added support provided by Principal Becca Yanni and Media Specialist Jean Trimble. Eighth grade student writing coaches were trained to help peers by writing coaches from The Ohio State University. Beth Morvay was advisor for the group and co-wrote the grant with Dr. Jill Williams. Other teachers involved with the pilot were Janice Hill, Ranee Brown, and Tammy Saltzman.
