Tina Showalter, a secretary at Blendon Middle School, has been named the Westerville Educational Support Staff Association’s Staff Member of the Month for November.

WESSA President Sue Kaczor, Superintendent Dr. John Kellogg, Blendon Principal Kendall Harris and Blendon staff surprised Showalter with the announcement on Wednesday. Her nomination featured glowing praise from several staff members, including school counselor Marcia Childs:

“The amazing Tina keeps juggling about 10 things at one time. She keeps Blendon running and everyone in the classroom. She handles it with a smile 99.9% of the time… She juggles the needs of students, parents, teachers, substitute teachers, school counselors and administrators with ease. She provides help to everyone that asks and even if you don’t, she sees you struggling. She is not a big talker but a doer.”
