Seven Blendon Middle School students in Jamie Bouscher’s sixth grade English Language Arts class are now published authors. They include: Belle Van Dop, Bailey Cavener, Mattea Panzera-Cochran, Colleen Gates, Harper Hahn, Levi Dew and Salma Shukri.
The middle school students penned “mini-sagas” (a story of 100 words) for a writing contest inspired by the crime & mystery genre sponsored by Young Writers, a Massachusetts-based group that organizes a series of writing contests for elementary, middle, and high school students. Winning compositions are published in books that are distributed to schools.
