Shira Baumann, an eighth-grader at Blendon Middle School, has been selected to have an original piece published in a poetry anthology, “Pandemic Poetry - Words Of Inspiration.”
The book is sponsored by Young Writers, a Massachusetts-based group that coordinates writing contests for elementary, middle and high school students.
Baumann’s poem, “Hope,” is her third published work in three years.
