Blendon Middle School was one of three schools in Ohio to receive an award for their Ohio School Counselor Accountability Report (OSCAR), which highlights the school counseling team’s achievements and impact on students.

Blendon counselors Amy Weinrich and Marcia Childs were recognized at the All Ohio Counselors Conference, which started Thursday. They were also honored for Blendon’s OSCAR in 2018.

During the conference, Tami Santa, director of Mental Health & Wellness for Westerville City Schools, was formally recognized as the 2021 Advocate of the Year by the Ohio School Counselor Association.
