Blendon Middle School counselors Amy Weinrich and Marcia Childs are planning a series of activities as part of National School Counseling Week, which starts Feb. 1.

The activities include showing their appreciation for teachers and staff by delivering snacks to their classrooms, providing tokens of encouragement to students during lunch and inviting students and who find a hidden puzzle piece at school to the office for a prize.

The week is designed to raise awareness on the contributions school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career.
