Blendon Middle School embraced World Kindness Day on Nov. 13 with staff wearing shirts that featured positive or kind sayings and students encouraged to “Be the ‘I’ in Kind.”

“With all of the differences of this school year and the heaviness of things going on in the world, we wanted to remind students that even a small act of kindness can go a long way,” school counselor Amy Weinrich said.

She noticed students picking up trash, thanking their teachers, sending emails, holding doors for others, and going out of their way to help others. Staff also passed kindness notes to one another.
