Blendon Middle School students in the eighth grade Advanced Science classrooms of Angie Crego and Kylie O’Ryan put on a spectacular Parade of the Earth recently, where they showcased their knowledge of multiple topics about our planet by creating floats and large balloons.

Pupils were challenged with selecting two different topics that were covered in the unit and showing how their chosen topics are related and lend to the modern day theories of Earth.

On December 6, with halls lined by their peers, the youngsters paraded their pieces around the school.  Many floats were pulled; some even moved by remote control.  The students were so proud of their pieces one even said, “This is the most creative thing I have ever made!”
