The Blendon Middle School Drama Club is proud to present their upcoming production of The Hound of the Baskervilles: A Comic Thriller Starring Shirley Holmes and Jennie Watson. The show was adapted by Kent R. Brown and inspired by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s original novel, The Hound of the Baskervilles.
While their famous uncles are gallivanting through Europe on their own adventure, it is up to Shirley and Jennie to solve the mystery surrounding an apparent curse on the Baskerville name before it is too late for young Sir Henry, the last living Baskerville.
Nearly 60 Blendon students are involved in this production and are fortunate to have benefited from guidance and assistance from members of Theatre Troupe 513 at Westerville South High School. With encouragement and support from South Theatre Director Matthew Wolfe, high school students have been earning extra thespian points by helping the Blendon Drama Club through the entire production process from auditions, to rehearsals, set design, lighting, sound, and costuming.
Performance dates are March 9, 10, and 11. All shows will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium at Westerville South High School, located at 303 S. Otterbein Avenue. Tickets will be sold at the door for $5.00.
