Friday, December 14, was Blendon Middle School’s Day of Giving. The building was buzzing with activities in every classroom, where students could be found writing letters to the troops, making care packages and personal hygiene kits to give to military members, collecting food and cash donations for the Westerville Area Resource Ministry (WARM), and participating in a variety of activities designed to help others. Pupils also learned about poverty in Westerville. Representatives from WARM, the military, and nursing homes spoke to the children and gratefully accepted their gifts. A celebratory dance was held at the end of the day.
