April is now considered Hanby Centennial Celebration Month following a City of Westerville proclamation at the April 4th City Council meeting.

As part of the proclamation, Westerville Mayor Diane Conley encouraged residents to celebrate the milestone.

Hanby Elementary is hosting its Centennial Celebration noon-4 p.m. on Saturday, April 29 at 56 S. State Street. The event includes a short ceremony and will serve as an open house, where attendees can pick and choose how they spend their time. There will be opportunities to look back at the last 100 years at Hanby as well as fun and educational activities focused on both history and Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM).

Conley presented the proclamation to Hanby Principal Caley Nestor Baker, who attended the council meeting.
