Linda Danna, a secretary at Hanby Elementary, has been named the Westerville Educational Support Staff Association’s Staff Member of the Month for October.
WESSA President Sue Kaczor, Superintendent Dr. John Kellogg, Hanby Principal Caley Nestor Baker and Hanby staff surprised Danna with the announcement on Thursday. Her nomination featured glowing praise from several staff members, including teacher Kelly Balaz:
“Linda is the gel that holds Hanby together. She goes above and beyond to help teachers and students. She handles situations calmly and is ready to lend a hand when something out of the ordinary arises. Linda cares about our students. She knows every student by name, and when one of my students needs a break she gladly talks to them and comforts them. Hanby has been through many changes through the years, but we are happy and thankful that we have had Linda as our staple.”
