The staff at Hanby Elementary is kicking off its year-long 100th birthday party by inviting students, alumni and former staff to reminisce over their time at the school.

Hanby is hosting a “walk down memory lane” from 6-8 p.m. during Uptown Westerville’s Fourth Friday on Sept. 23. Among the activities: a memory booth where the Hanby community can share stories, memories and experiences. There will also be a photo station where visitors can take photos and post them with the hashtag, #Hanby100th, which the school will be using throughout the year as they share Hanby memories and showcase celebration activities on social media.

Principal Caley Nestor Baker said staff and students will be celebrating the school’s centennial in multiple ways throughout the year, from school-wide activities for students focused on decades to Fourth Friday events in the spring.

More information about upcoming Hanby 100th events can be found on the school’s Facebook page.
