Students from the four second grade classes at Hanby Elementary School will be performing excerpts from Peter Pan and Beauty and the Beast at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 20 in the Westerville South High School Auditorium, which is located at 303 S. Otterbein Ave.  The public is invited to attend the free program and tickets are not required.

The children have been working with the staff at the Generations Performing Arts Center in Uptown Westerville.  The theme of the classes they have been taking is “Fairytales through Movement.”  The program is a collaboration developed by Dr. Jan Fedorenko, Hanby principal, and Angie Haver, a Generations co-owner.  The pupils got to practice at the studio where they learned to execute choreography to music while telling a story.  They also got to travel to see Beauty and the Beast as part of their fairytale studies.
