Emerson Elementary School’s annual International Night, held at Westerville Central High School on Thursday evening, February 27, drew a large and enthusiastic crowd of friends and family members who gathered to learn about various cultures, customs and the arts through student performances.  Billed as “a night to give back to our community, country and world,” the program featured a silent auction, raffle, bake sale, wearable art, teacher auctions, third grade Japanese storytellings, and music performances by third, fourth and fifth grade students.  Proceeds raised from the event were donated to the PTA to help fund student activities.  Money made from the Leadership Summit Bake Sale was dedicated to support School Board member Cindy Crowe in her fight against amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (Lou Gehrig’s disease).
