Families can sign up to receive meals for their students during their remote learning weeks.

The United States Department of Agriculture has extended free meal benefits to all students through the end of the 2020-21 school year. That means school meals students eat at school and while remote learning will be free for the entire school year.

The district’s Food Services department prepares bags with five breakfast and five lunch meals for a remote learning week that meets the USDA standards for nutritious meals. The bags are sent home with students.

To receive free meals during remote instruction, families must complete the Westerville City Schools Opt-In Form for weekly meal bags. The form only needs to be filled out once and can be canceled at any time by emailing Food Services at thomasrl@wcsoh.org.
