Matthew Wolfe, director of Theatre at Westerville South High School and the district’s Summer Theatre Enrichment director, has been named the next director of the Ohio Chapter of the Educational Theatre Association. The four-year term will begin in August.
Wolfe has been on the organization’s board for seven years, serving as coordinator for the All-Ohio show, Ohio Unified Auditions, and the state student Thespy Awards. He also serves on the Ohio Department of Education’s K-12 Drama/Fine Arts curriculum revision committee.
More than 100,000 students and professional members belong to the Ohio Chapter.
Wolfe said he is thrilled and excited to take the reins and continue the excellent work of the Ohio Chapter of the Educational Theatre Association, spreading advocacy and providing a voice for our students and the importance of arts education.
