Westerville City Schools high school students are invited to submit poems for a virtual poetry slam called Voices of Hope in December.
The event, which is sponsored by the Arts Council of Westerville, Secret Midnight Press and the Westerville Education Challenge, will be hosted by authors and poets, Ashley Dun and Jesse Cale.
Entries must reflect themes of hope and include a title, be 200 words or less and shall not exceed 3 and a half minutes in length when read. The deadline for entries is Nov. 30.
Twelve finalists will be selected among the qualifying entries. Finalists will be notified and will receive prizes provided by Secret Midnight Press.
