Westerville South High School theatre enthusiasts, past and present, gathered for a wonderful 75th Anniversary party on December 22, 2017.   More than 300 attendees celebrated the rich tradition of theatre in the Westerville City School District.

Alumni and current students sang songs from when they were in school and shared stories about the positive impact high school theatre has had on their lives.  They also performed a number from How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.  Alumnus Dr. Nancy Nestor-Baker, who currently serves as Vice President of the Westerville City Schools Board of Education, gave a moving welcome.  Nearly $9,000 dollars was raised from this event, which will be used to purchase new technology and provide field trips.

Founded in 1942, Westerville High School is registered as Troupe 513 (with numbers surpassing 9,000 today) and is the only school in Ohio to have representatives attend every State Conference since they began more than 40 years ago.
