Westerville South High School senior Forlefac Fontem received $250 from the Rotary Club of Westerville at the end of the last school year for his outstanding Service Above Self, the club’s motto.  Fontem was a December 2016 Student of the Month, and one of many pupils who were honored by Rotary during the school year.

Fontem held a 3.9 grade point average and enjoyed studying math and science.  At school, he was involved in Black History Month, soccer, track and field, Robotics Club, French Club and the National Honor Society.  He is a community volunteer.  Fontem has received multiple academic letters and athletic accolades, along with a 2016 Wildcat Pride award.  He planned to major in computer science at The Ohio State University or the University of Cincinnati.

Rotary’s Student of the Month recognition program begins again in October, when extraordinary students from Westerville Central, North, South and DeSales will be honored.
