Students got to examine healthy hearts and hearts with abnormalities.

On March 8, more than 80 students in Anatomy and Physiology classes at Westerville South High School heard two guest speakers from Nationwide Children’s Hospital – Anne Hughes and Scott Hall.  The Pathology Department representatives spoke about careers in the field both at the microscopic and gross scale.  In addition, they brought dissected healthy hearts from their education outreach program, along with several hearts with medical abnormalities.  Pupils have been working on a case study regarding heart attacks, and will dissect pig hearts later in the week.
