South’s Symphony Orchestra Earns Perfect Score at OMEA State Adjudications

The Westerville South Wildcat Symphony Orchestra earned a perfect score from all four judges at Friday evening’s Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) State Orchestra adjudications held at Gahanna Lincoln High School.   Earning an overall performance rating of “Superior”, the Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Mark Stevens, performed Allegro in D for Strings by Vivaldi, March Petite by Beethoven and Symphony No. 1 in D Major, Movement 2 by Mahler. 

The Wildcat Concert Orchestra presented a very strong performance Saturday morning and was one point away from earning a Superior rating at the same OMEA state orchestra event.  Stevens congratulated all orchestra members for representing South “with exemplary performances and class.”
