Lord of the Flies, adapted by Nigel Williams, will be performed at Westerville High School at 7:00 p.m. on February 2, 3, and 4; and at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 5. Tickets cost $6 and can be purchased at the door.
During an unnamed time of war, a plane carrying a group of British schoolboys is shot down over the Pacific. The pilot of the plane is killed, but many of the boys survive the crash and find themselves deserted on an uninhabited island, where they are alone without adult supervision. South’s production will be gender neutral as boys and girls will both be cast as the children on the island.
This literary title is based on William Golding’s classic novel of the same name. Happenings and themes in the novel are presented in the stage play. Please use caution with small children who are not familiar with the subject matter.
