On Wednesday, January 25, at 7:00 p.m., an informational meeting will take place to discuss the College Credit Plus (CCP) program.  It will be held in the Westerville North High School Auditorium, located at 950 County Line Road.  CCP allows eligible Ohio students in grades 7 through 12 to earn college and high school credit through the successful completion of college courses.  To participate in CCP for the 17-18 school year, which will include the 2017 Summer Term, students and families must attend this mandatory informational meeting.

Pupils interested in CCP (which includes, but is not limited to, specialized programs such as the John Glenn Internship as well as CCP courses offered on a student’s high school campus) must be accepted by the college/university they wish to attend.  Each college/university has their own GPA and standardized test minimums.  Academic Advisors from Columbus State Community College, Otterbein University, The Ohio State University, and the University of Toledo, will discuss opportunities on their campuses on January 25.

In addition to attending the informational meeting, students and families must complete and return an Intent to Participate Form by April 1 to participate during the 2017-2018 school year.

Additional information about College Credit Plus can be found on the district’s website at http://www.westerville.k12.oh.us/administration/74.  College Credit Plus questions can also be directed to students’ school counselors.
