Westerville South’s International Baccalaureate (IB) students are excited to launch a project in partnership with Limbs International, an organization committed to providing low cost prosthetic legs for amputees in underprivileged parts of the world.  This October is being officially tagged “Socktober!” for the cause.  IB pupils will be selling 3-packs of socks for $12.00.  For every 75 pairs of socks sold, they will raise enough money to provide one prosthetic leg to help an amputee get “back on their feet again.”  Additionally, for every set of socks sold, the group will receive one pair of socks to donate to help keep a local homeless person warm this winter. “What a great way to help our fellow citizens in our own community and around the world,” said Bill Heinmiller, IB Coordinator.
