Westerville South Presents The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is a best-selling book that was turned into a Tony Award-Winning play in 2015 and is now being presented on the Westerville South High School stage for the first time.

South has a strong tradition of presenting successful Winter Literature shows.  After triumphs like The Great Gatsby, To Kill A Mockingbird, Lord of The Flies, Midsummer Night’s Dream and Twelfth Night, Director Matt Wolfe says they are excited to produce Simon Stephens adaptation based on the Mark Haddon best seller.

Curious Incident is about a 15-year-old boy named Christopher who leaves home upon discovering a family secret.  He sets out on a mission to conquer his fears, prove his bravery and find out if there is anything he cannot do.  Armed with only his highly intelligent outlook on life and his pet rat, Toby, come and find out if Christopher is the hero of his story.

A 10-person ensemble, will present this popular play in thrust stage setting with seating on three sides of the action on stage.  Seating is limited, so patrons are encouraged to pre-order tickets at www.locallevelevents.com (search Curious Incident). 

Students Caleb Jingo, Tyler Carraway, Latfiat Sulaimon, Karina Deere, Izzy Brinker, Emma Murphy, Emylie Winesette, Brandon Allbritton, Ethan Riehle, and Josiah Holloway, along with a strong technical crew and student leadership, are eager to bring this masterpiece to life.

Performances will take place at 7:00 p.m. on January 31, February 1, and February 2; and at 2:00 p.m. on February 3.  Tickets cost $10 and any remaining will be sold at the door.
