Professional martial artist and instructor Greg Zoganas, from Z Studios Martial Arts, impressed the children with a demonstration of his skills.
As part of its school-wide Leader In Me program, Pointview Elementary hosted its fourth annual Career Day on November 16. During the event, the school welcomed presenters from a variety of career backgrounds. Occupations represented included a construction manager, veterinarian, dentist, interior designer, police officer and more. Students learned about each career’s day-to-day activities, along with the level of education needed to pursue such jobs.
The children were tasked with preparing questions for speakers, greeting the guests, and creating thank you notes for all of the participating lecturers. Lunch for the presenters was generously provide by Chipotle (on South State Street).
