Linda Morelli and Jamie Joering unveiled and rang the bell for the very first time.
On Thursday evening, October 18, Westerville South High School unveiled and dedicated a Victory Bell Memorial in memory of Westerville police officers Eric Joering and Anthony Morelli. As School Board members, administrators, city officials, fellow officers and fans looked on; their families rang the bell for the first time. The ceremony took place in the Westerville stadium just before the Wildcats took on the Westerville Central Warhawks in varsity football. The Westerville South Victory Bell will serve as a permanent memorial for the officers and will allow athletic teams to celebrate and remember.
