Hawthorne Elementary students and staff received a huge surprise on Thursday, August 23, when Heritage Christian Church representatives Zoe Hafner and Wayne Benson dropped by in a U-Haul to deliver eight tubs filled with school supplies for students and staff at the school. The recipients of this kind act were overwhelmed with gratitude. School Counselor Jenny Scherer said, “We are fortunate to live and work in a great community that supports our students in any way they can.” Heritage Christian is located at 7413 Maxtown Road.
