In collaboration with the City of Westerville, Neighbor to Neighbor, and the 10th of the Month Club, Neighborhood Bridges has just concluded an undergarment drive to benefit students in the Westerville City School District.  According to Rick Bannister, Chief Believer at Neighborhood Bridges, the community “really stepped up” and donated nearly 3,000 items, which are being delivered to Westerville schools this week, just as classes begin.

Eighty pairs of male and female undergarments and 80 pairs of male and female socks will be given to all three high schools, all four middle schools, and the district’s Academic Enrichment Center.  Up to 10 elementary schools will receive donations as well.  In total, approximately 720 students in need will be served.

Bannister characterized the community’s response as, “Amazing, but not at all surprising.”
