The Heritage Middle School track team had an exceptionally strong showing at the second annual 7th & 8th grade OHSAA State Track and Field meet held Saturday, May 12, at Lancaster High School. The 4 x 200 meter relay team of James McCreery, Frederick Yeboah, Michael Donkor, and Kaden Saunders finished in second place. Winning the state championship was Kaden Saunders in the boys’ 100-meter dash, with a time of 10.99 seconds. Winning the state championship in the girls’ pole vault was Brooke Holloway with a winning vault of 10 feet. Patrick Acocks and Molly Miller coach the team.
