In recognition for making a positive impact on student learning through innovative, personalized technology integration, Heather Griffith, a fourth grade teacher at Fouse Elementary School, will receive the WOSU Classroom Outstanding Teacher Award.  She will be honored at the WOSU Classroom Innovation Mixer on April 25, and will also receive $500 for her classroom.

Westerville City Schools Technology Integration Coach Drew Farrell nominated Griffith for the award, saying she is well regarded as a master teacher in her building and throughout the district.  “Heather understands the role of technology in personalizing learning for students and has built her class to include opportunities for students to control the path and pace of their learning…She shows great command of both the science and the art of teaching.”

Griffith will be honored by the Westerville City Schools Board of Education on Monday evening, April 9.
