Our teachers will be pulling some long evenings during our Spring semester Parent-Teacher Conferences. The PTSA is organizing a dinner for them on Wednesday, Feb. 12th. The wonderful doctors and staff at Smile Doctors will be providing the meal. We are asking parents to provide drinks and desserts. GEM 2019-2020
Committee Chair: Vicki Fouse
Congratulations this year's GEM Award winner, Bethany Morvay. Mrs. Morvay has done so much for the students at Walnut Springs! She organized a school-wide poetry slam, which led to a district poetry slam, she took the lead in organizing Club Days, she is an advisor for UBU club, she is piloting a restorative justice program, and so much more.
It's time for the GEM Awards!!! The GEM award is given each year to a Walnut Springs volunteer or staff member who goes above and beyond for our children. Please consider nominating someone. Your student can write a nomination too!

Cookies, Coffee and Cocoa
The PTSA will be providing snacks for our teachers and staff during their meeting after school on Dec. 10th. We are asking parents to provide cookies and some other items for our coffee/cocoa bar. Walnut Springs is celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week April 29th - May 3rd, 2019.
It's time to show our Teachers and Staff how much we appreciate them! The PTSA is providing lunch for the Walnut Springs MS Staff on Tuesday, April 30th and a snack for Thursday, May 2nd. If you would be interested in providing items for our lunch, please sign up below. Please have all items to the school by 8:00am Tuesday, April 30th. The "Soup-er Bowl" Luncheon
The PTSA will be hosting its annual "Soup-er Bowl" Lunch for the teachers and staff on Wednesday, Jan. 30th during the lunch periods. Would you please help us by either signing up to bring an item or donating funds? We will use the donations to purchase additional food and/or items that are not donated.
Please have all donations at the school by 8:00 on Wednesday morning, so we can have plenty of time to reheat soups and set out items before the first lunch begins at 10:00.

Cookies and Cocoa
The Staff Appreciation Committee will be providing snacks for the staff during their meeting immediately following school on December the 11th. The PTSA will provide the coffee and cocoa. If you would like to bake some cookies or donate items for our coffee/cocoa bar, we would greatly appreciate it! Please drop off all items to office/teacher's lounge on the 11th by 2:00p. If you are unable to bring your items the day of, please contact Abby at abbyhutto@gmail.com to make different arrangements.
