Our last day of school will include field day and a 5th grade clap out at 3:00. Families are welcome to join us for the clap out to say good bye to elementary!

Our field trip to Biztown from 9:30- 3:00

Family lunch from 11-12. Students will go to the pool from 12:30- 2:30 and return back to the school.

The unit 5 post test over multiplication/ division of fractions is on Friday, Mar 1. Students were given a study guide on Friday, Feb 22.

This is a friendly reminder that there will not be school on Monday, February 18th due to the observance of President's Day.

Blendon students will be coming to Whittier on Feb 13 for our yearly Energy Fair. Those tudents will be working with Whittier students to further our knowledge of light and sound. This is a partnership we have with the Ohio Energy Project. 

Our party is Thursday, Feb 14. Students will pass out valentines, have a snack, and create cards for a local nursing home. 

Our light and sound science test has been scheduled for Friday, Feb 15. Please look for a study guide coming home in Friday folders on Feb 8. 

Due to the snow days, the Book Fair has been extended through Wednesday, Feb 6, 2019. You are welcome to join your child for recess to pick out some new books!

The Book Fair is coming to Whittier. Mrs. Alexander's class will preview on Monday and Mrs. Godwin's class will go Tuesday. Your child can buy during lunch/recess or during Community Service Night on Wednesday. 

Early Release is scheduled for Thursday, Jan 31 at 2:30. 

Students should have brought home a study guide and notes on Tuesday this week to study for the Ch. 3 Test on Thursday 1/24.

Just a reminder that students DO go out to recess if the temp and wind chill stay above 20 degrees (even if there is snow on the ground). Students need coats, hats, gloves, and proper shoes to go out in the weather each day. We are ok with students leaving their boots at school if they need to so that their feet don't stay wet all afternoon. An extra pair of socks in the backpack is always a good idea as well.
