The Compact 7th - 8th Grade history class combins two years of history study into one school year. The content begins with 7th grade studies of the last two great ancient civilizations, Greece and Rome. Following this, several Middle Ages civilizations will be studied. Then the Renaissance, the Reformation, Exploration and Discovery, the Scientific Revolution, and lastly the Enlightenment will wrap up the 7th grade content.  Next, students will continue into the 8th grade content that begins with early colonization of America and continues through Reconstruction of the Civil War.
