Dear Parents,

    After looking over homework for the last couple weeks, I have decided to take a break from the weekly packets. Instead, students will be bringing home flashcards for multiplication on Monday. I would like them to practice their facts 10-15 minutes per night. This will be more beneficial than the homework packets. Occasionally, students may have a practice page assigned related to skills we are working on in class.

    Students will still have their 20 minutes of reading and their nightly reading log. They have been working very hard in school and I want them to have time to practice habit 7 “sharpen the saw”. This means taking time to recharge, relax, and take care of themselves. The homework packet was not as beneficial as I hoped it would be. I apologize for the change.
