News from Mrs. Gauen’s Kindergarten
Dec. 6, 2019
Today we made gingerbread cookies and each child got to create their own gingerbread boy or girl . Even though we told them to stay on the pan, they were not in the oven when we went to get them. We had to look all around the school and found clues until we finally found them in the library.
This will be our last week for reading groups until after Winter break. I will not be sending home any new books next week. Next week I will be giving the individual quarterly assessments for reading, writing and math. Please continue to read the books sent home in the reading bag and shoebox books.
Our Winter Party will be on Dec. 19th beginning at 2:15. If you would like to volunteer please send me an email. If you signed
up to bring anything it is listed below

If you are looking for good ideas for a fun read aloud book to purchase for your child for the holidays, any of the Laura Numeroff books would be a great choice. The children love these. We will be reading lots of them over the next few weeks and after Winter Break

Another great gift suggestion would be any of the Elephant and Piggie books by Mo Willems. Those are a big favorite in our room as well.
