Dear WCSD Families:

Today was our final day for curbside distribution of Chromebooks and mobile hotspots. As a result of these efforts, to date we have distributed about 3,100 Chromebooks and 100 mobile hotspots to students and families who were most in need of these devices for distance learning.

Beginning Monday, April 20, anyone who still needs a Chromebook, or anyone who has a device that needs to be replaced, should call 614-797-4800. Simply leave a message at that number and someone will be in touch to explain the next steps you will need to take.

We appreciate the support and enthusiasm of those staff members who contributed to the process of distributing technology to our students. The vast majority of Chromebooks loaned out were scheduled to be replaced within the next two years as part of our technology replacement cycle, and there was no cost to the district to obtain the hotspots that we distributed.

Finally, we would like to thank Neighborhood Bridges once again for covering the monthly usage fees of the mobile hotspots that were loaned to students. As a result of this tremendous cooperation, we have been able to meet the technology needs of those students and families requiring additional support to complete distance learning instructional activities.
