Hello! My name is Lee Johnson and I am the art teacher at Alcott Elementary. I have taught at Alcott for 13 years and I have been in Westerville for 16 years. I graduated with a degree in Art Education from The Ohio State University (Go Bucks!) in 1999. I am originally from St. Louis, Missouri but came to OSU as a student athlete - I was a synchronized swimmer.  I earned my Masters degree in Art Education specializing in assessment in 2002 from Ohio State.  My husband and I live in Powell and have two kids, a daughter in 3rd grade and son in 1st grade.  I enjoy swimming, going to the beach and being with my family.  

I love teaching art to children at the elementary level. They are so passionate about art and are willing to try new things.   Our curriculum focuses on the elements of art, artists, art from other countries and a wide variety of art techniques.  We focus on the process and the joy of creating art just as much as the end product.
