Family, friends, coaches and staff gathered in the Westerville North High School Media Center on Tuesday afternoon, November 19, to watch and celebrate as Alaina Bernsdorf signed a Letter of Intent to continue her academics and swim at Ashland University in Ashland, Ohio.
Multiple soccer injuries and corrective knee surgery during her sophomore year led Bernsdorf back to the pool for recovery. A 3rd Team OCC achievement and Top 10 District qualifier placement in the 100 breast during her junior year renewed her passion for swimming. She is also a three-year Scholar Athlete and a member of the National Honor Society. Bernsdorf takes pride in being a Westerville North Warrior and loves to lead the student section during athletic events. She is an active member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She plans to major in Education at Ashland.
