The Hawthorne Elementary School PTO hosted the second annual Bubble Run on Friday, October 4.  During the weeks leading up to the event, students gathered donations that will be used to pay for grade level field trips and transportation, school engagement activities for families, clubs and activities, and Hawthorne’s end of the year Field Day.  Pupils were challenged to raise $12,000 for this year’s event, a goal they obliterated by bringing in a whopping $13,401.25.  For surpassing their goal, the children got to attend a celebration assembly on November 7 where the top 24 earners smashed eggs on the heads of Principal Ernest Clinkscale and Assistant Principal Kristen Millet.
