Under the watchful eye of Coach Johnny Jackson, students take turns learning how to change a tire.
Practical knowledge is often the best kind, as was demonstrated on December 11 in the Westerville North High School Shop, where Coach Johnny Jackson showed students how to change a tire and how to check oil. Valuable information about maintaining automobiles was also provided.
Representatives from the Westerville AAA were also present to show pupils how to read a road map and talk about the importance of not texting while driving. Attendees were entered into a raffle for a free, one-year AAA membership. AAA further generously offered to add all teen drivers at North to their parent/guardian’s already-existing AAA membership.
