In the spring of 2018, Westerville North High School was awarded the Purple Star Recognition by the Ohio Department of Education for showing a major commitment to students and families connected to our nation’s military.  Pete LuPiba, Superintendent of Military Interstate Children’s Compact of the Ohio Department of Education, along with members of our local military branches, will recognize and present the award to Principal Kurt Yancey on September 28 at the home football game against Olentangy Orange.

Additionally, North will recognize local military members, past and present, for their dedication to the protection of our country.  Westerville North and Westerville City Schools staff members who have served in the armed forces with an Ohio Department of Veterans Services will receive a coin in recognition of their post-military service to the community.
