On Aug. 6, Huber Ridge employees participated in a Staff Retreat located at Summit Vision in Westerville.  The group attended a morning professional development session examining student performance data and began dissecting academic content standards as they relate to academic performance.  Later, Guidance Counselor Amy VanSickle and Sheila Ebbrecht discussed self-care tips for the upcoming school year, coupled with a message from administrators about what it means to put the best teacher in front of the students each day.

Summit Vision representatives led the afternoon session, when participants worked together to solve a diverse set of tasks while echoing the message from the morning session of self-care. Staff members took risks and stepped outside of their comfort zones with the hope of relating to what their students are feeling each day at school.
