The mood at Whittier Elementary School was downright festive on Monday afternoon, April 30, when the school hosted its first ever Autism Awareness Day.  The weather cooperated so the event could take place outdoors.  Students from the Autism program lead three different activities for the rest of the school community.  Intervention specialists Sasha Tutstone and Terri Hill organized this fun-filled afternoon in an effort to educate and promote awareness.
